Matthew Molyneaux is Father of 3, Organic Regenerative Farmer, Orchardist, Horticulturalist, Landscape designer and holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Chico State University in Agriculture – Plant Science.

Matthew has spent the last 15 years as an Organic Farm Inspector, inspecting hundreds of farms all over the country with reputable certifiers such as Oregon Tilth, WSDA and ASCO. He now holds a position as Senior Inspector at Oregon Tilth where he specializes in all three scopes of Inspection services Crop, Livestock, Processing/Handling.

Matthew began his career of over 25 years in Horticulture at Earthcare Landscaping in Arcata, Ca. where he learned all aspects of tending the earth from mentor Randy Sherer.

After relocating to Butte County to attend Chico State University he then became a devoted employee at the famed Mendon’s Nursery in Paradise, CA where he became a specialist in diagnosing disease, and other obstacles to healthy abundant gardens. During his time there he became a very proficient nurseryman under the mentorship of Jerry & John Mendon beginning his lifetime pursuit of collecting and propagating rare plants.

After graduating Chico State University Matthew became a experienced Organic Farmer as Farm manager at the historic EMANDAL-Farm on the River in Willits,CA. where he tended the abundant biodiverse gardens, grew enough food to consistently feed 80 people a week & stock a weekly farmers market booth. At Emandal Matthew trained many WWOOFERS and garden crews in organic farming, animal care and landscaping.

After 3 years of living and working at Emandal and the birth of his second child Matthew then started his own Farm business (the first of many incantations) as “GrassRoots Nursery & Flowers” There he grew hundreds of Cut flowers and Medicinal herb Plant starts supplying Farmers Markets in Mendocino, Willits, Ukiah and local businesses and Events. one of the highlights from that time in 2003 is when Matthew grew hundreds of flowers and made incredible artistic arrangements for the EARTHDANCE festival at the Hog Farm in Laytonville,ca. His arrangements flanked the stages, adorned the temples and culminated in a 100 ft Ouroboros snake that was all made out of dried flowers and grains that wrapped around the grounds.

Matthew then relocated to the small town of Mendocino, CA where he became Farm manager at the famed ORGANIC INN & Restaurant Stanford Inn by the Sea and grew much of the food for The Ravens Restaurant made lifetime friendships an a lasting impact on the beautiful gardens there.

Matthew then became an Educator, teaching and implementing the School Garden program at 2 Elementary schools in WIllits,CA. and teaching ORGANIC AGRICULTURE at Mendocino College in Ukiah,ca this work gave him the confidence and experience to develope and implement curriculum, and develop skills in public speaking, project management and funding and plant the seed of a lifetime of love of plants in the minds and hearts of his students young and old.

In 2006 Matthew relocated his family to Southern Oregon to pursue the Oregon dream! There they became homeowners for the first time purchasing 5 acres and a house that were currently in foreclosure and bad repair. through lots of sweat equity and vision Matthew and his wife Fonta created a gorgeous biodiverse garden with a spiral garden full of fruit trees medicinal herbs and native plants. After 10 + years holding down our small farm, working full time as a contract inspector and renovating the grounds Matthew sold Beetroots Farm and made the move north to his current homestead Wild Everlasting Farm 30 acres devoted to exploring the relationship between People, Plants and Pollinators. Where he meets his Beekeeping wife and daughter in divine Collaboration. Fostering the development of over 100 species of Plants on the farm and riparian corridor that provide food and medicine not only for the bees and birds but for the people in our community.
